MBBS IN RUSSIA - Advantage and Admission Process

According to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Russia has the most educated population in the world, outperforming Canada, Japan, Israel and the USA. More than half of Russians have higher education qualification. More than 200,000 people from 168 countries come to study at Russian universities.


1> There is direct Admission in Medical Universities in Russia. However, some university keeps the 12th percentage as their minimum cut-offs. Hence no entrance examinations

2> The fees for medical education is highly subsidized and hence they have low fees. It generally ranges from Rs.1.8 Lacs to Rs.6 Lacs per year.

3> English medium MBBS course are offered at Russian Medical Universities.

4> The universities are listed in MCI website. Thus you may be sure that you will be eligible to practice in India after completion of course. Similarly, you will be eligible to practice as Doctor throughout the world.

5> In almost every university of Russia, you will find the greatest Indian Diaspora, with people living in Russia from all parts of India. You will never miss your motherland.

8> Indian Meals are provided to the student studying at Russia at some selected universities. In other universities, the canteen provided is a blend of Russian and Indian cuisines.

9> The student shall complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission.

The student should have obtained 50% marks in the 12th standard examination. Students belonging SC/ST and OBC category are eligible having 40% marks in aggregate in the 12th standard examination.

The students are offered two options for completing their MBBS abroad:

1. Complete their MBBS in 5 years and pursue their internship in India.

2. Complete their MBBS degree in 6 years abroad with a mandatory internship abroad.

The five-year MBBS program as mentioned above is a little cheaper than the second option which saves around Rs 4-5 Lacs. But most of the universities normally offer a 6-year program with the internship. After completing the MBBS course in abroad from an MCI approved university, the student needs to clear MCI Screening Test / FMGE Exam. After that, the student must complete a one-year internship in India and then he/she becomes eligible to register with the MCI to become a medical practitioner in India.

Process of Admission for MBBS in Russia

The process of admission in medical colleges from abroad is very simple and hassle-free. The student needs to submit the documents to us and we initiate the process of admission immediately. The admission letter is issued on submission of the following documents:

1. 12th Level results with eligibility matching as per the university.

2. Copy of the passport.

After submitting the documents, the student gets an invitation from the Ministry of Education from the respective country. After this, the consultant applies for the visa for the student. The students are provided with pre-departure training. A consultant is available at the airport to see the students and one consultant is available at the destination airport to receive the students. The students are provided with accommodation by the consultancy.
